Hungarian-developed technology backed by distinctive market experience

We design, develop, manufacture and operate digital systems

SENSO-MEDIA is a wholly Hungarian-owned technology company specialising in complete digital systems. Drawing on our expertise in hardware design and manufacturing, software development, system integration and operation, we support the full lifecycle of our solutions, from the first idea to everyday use.

Our portfolio ranges from interactive information kiosks and payment and ticket vending machines to access control, parking and fuel retail systems, digital games, mobile apps and online back-office platforms. We build interconnected hardware and software ecosystems that digitalise real business and operational workflows.

Hundreds of thousands of people now encounter our technologies every day. Since 2021, we have operated BKK’s network of more than 300 ticket and pass vending machines. Following a successful public procurement tender, we completed its comprehensive renewal by 2026: 280 machines were extensively refurbished and 38 new, in-house-designed large-screen machines entered service.

We have installed more than 300 AllPay fuel payment terminals developed and manufactured by us across Hungary, making the system one of the country’s most significant self-service fuel retail technologies. Our digital information kiosks and advertising displays are present in many high-traffic Hungarian shopping centres and at Budapest Airport. Our access control technology also helps spectators enter ONE Veszprém HC matches quickly and securely.

…these are just a few examples of the projects that have shaped SENSO-MEDIA over the past fifteen years.

Our company group

The group built around SENSO-MEDIA gives customers access to complementary business capabilities within one system. Our in-house hardware and software expertise is supported by nationwide digital media networks, outdoor advertising opportunities and ticketing technologies, taking projects well beyond the installation of a kiosk, terminal or app.

Through Screenposter and CityNext, for example, SENSO-MEDIA’s digital infrastructure can also function as a media platform. Alongside delivering information and processing transactions, technology can create value through advertising and communication. This is particularly useful for displays, kiosks and terminals at busy locations, where they can provide additional revenue and communication opportunities.

Our strategic partner jegyvasarlas.hu complements our technology capabilities in ticketing. Because SENSO-MEDIA is directly involved in developing the platform, online ticket sales can connect readily with our on-site ticket machines, access systems, mobile apps and other digital solutions. This enables one coordinated user journey from online sales through on-site purchasing and payment to admission.

Flexibility is the greatest benefit of collaboration across these businesses and technology fields. We can consider hardware, software, integration, ticketing, admission, digital communication and media together around a partner’s needs. This allows complete solutions whose services reinforce one another within a shared system.

This is the strength of our group: connecting complementary capabilities to create new opportunities for our customers.

Innovációs központként gondolkodunk
05 Thinking as an innovation centre

Innovation and funded projects

Since its foundation, SENSO-MEDIA has actively developed new technologies as well as applying them. Our research and development projects continually explore ideas that can become practical products and services for the market. Our work spans artificial intelligence, image processing, interactive systems, automated customer service and intelligent back-office platforms.

Innovation is closely connected to our day-to-day product development. Our hardware, software and integration expertise enables us to take an idea from concept and prototype development to a solution operating in a real environment.

Several of our developments have received support from Hungarian and European Union funding programmes. These projects help us advance our technologies, build long-term capabilities, develop our own platforms and create solutions that can deliver tangible business value to our partners.

Details of our successful funding applications, research and development projects and their technical scope are available on a dedicated page.

The SENSO-MEDIA story

A team building the future together since 2011

SENSO sikerek

SENSO-MEDIA began in 2011 without a finished business plan, major investment backing or established infrastructure. It was founded by a group of university students brought together by curiosity, enthusiasm for creating things and the belief that good ideas could become real, commercially viable technology in Hungary. Without a large corporate organisation behind them, they relied on each other, their knowledge and the determination that would shape the next fifteen years.

The company had far fewer resources in its early years, but the approach that still defines SENSO-MEDIA was already clear: finding ways technology could make an existing process better, more engaging or simpler. During the 2010s, SENSO-MEDIA’s own systems transformed digital infrastructure in Hungary’s largest shopping centres. Interactive information kiosks running our own navigation software appeared alongside digital advertising displays supported by our central content management system.

Our knowledge grew continually, while our core model remained unchanged: from the outset, our own software and back-office systems have run on kiosks we design and manufacture, with operation handled by our own team. This broad expertise led to the launch of AllPay in 2017, a fuel retail system that has since become a market-leading solution in Hungary. Another milestone followed in 2021, when we won the contract to operate BKK’s ticket and pass vending network, which we also extensively refurbished and modernised.

Perhaps even more importantly, the original founders still work here. The same close-knit group of friends who began the first projects as university students continue to lead and shape SENSO-MEDIA today.

SENSO élmények

A much larger team has since grown around them: software developers, engineers, technicians, project managers, manufacturing specialists and operations experts working together to turn ideas into functioning systems.

Today, we have the in-house capabilities needed throughout the lifecycle of a complete digital solution. We can imagine and design new systems, build the hardware and software, integrate them with existing infrastructure, then install and operate the technology for the long term. Our manufacturing capacity, development team, customer support and skilled service team provide a foundation we could only dream of in 2011.

Although the company’s size, expertise and project scale have changed significantly, our core idea remains much the same. We want to create technology that solves real problems, makes everyday life easier and delivers lasting value to its users. This approach has guided SENSO-MEDIA from its earliest projects to the present day.

Much has changed since 2011. Our team is larger, our knowledge broader and our systems more extensive — but we are still driven by the curiosity that once inspired a few university students to create something new together.

SENSO-MEDIA és SKOOL mentorprogram

Mentoring programme

We contribute to our wider community by supporting charitable and community initiatives, taking part in social causes and offering our own resources where we can. Our strongest focus is on education and supporting young people.

As a self-built technology company that has become a market leader in several fields, we believe this is where we can offer the greatest value. We believe in future generations and want young people considering their careers to see first-hand the opportunities the technology sector offers.

We have launched our own mentoring programme, giving several secondary-school students each year an insight into multiple departments through summer placements. They experience software development, engineering, manufacturing and operations in a real company environment, helping them make more confident choices about further study and their careers.

We also welcome student groups in partnership with SKOOL, making technology tangible for more young people. This is a long-term commitment: we believe investing in the future means offering knowledge, opportunities and real experience.

For us, developing the future is about people as well as technology.
