The enclosure and some structural components may still be in good condition, while the electronics, peripherals or software limit performance. Our retrofit service modernises ageing terminals and systems from other manufacturers, building on the assets worth retaining.
We start by assessing your equipment fleet and connected systems. We identify the hardware work required and its expected cost, carry out comprehensive refurbishment, then install the appropriate SENSO software environment. We connect the upgraded equipment to a central back-office system and integrate it with your other IT solutions.
Modernisation can also introduce new features, remote monitoring, simpler administration and a consistent visual identity. After handover, we provide long-term system operations, giving you coordinated technical support from refurbishment through to everyday use.

Based on the assessment, we recommend which units to retain, repair or replace. We identify the hardware and software development needed for the planned features and estimate the associated costs.

Modern technology within a structure worth retaining
We carry out the necessary repairs and component replacements. Worn or outdated units are replaced with components suited to the intended task, while parts that remain fit for purpose are retained.
The aim is to create a stable hardware environment that supports the new software, the required peripherals and future development.
New features, intuitive management and remote monitoring
We install SENSO software suited to the application on the upgraded equipment and coordinate its peripherals. We configure sales, information or other service workflows, together with the user interface.
We connect the terminals to the relevant Back Office system or online administration platform. Device status, events and operating data can then be monitored centrally according to the solution’s configuration.
Refurbished terminals become part of your existing business processes
We connect the SENSO environment to your IT systems. Integrations may include ticketing, POS data exchange, payment services, access-rights management or connections to enterprise resource planning systems.
Within the available technical capabilities, we implement automatic data exchange and coordinated operation, reducing duplicate administration and manual data transfers.
A consistent identity after rebranding or a merger
Modernisation can include rebranding both hardware and software. We adapt enclosure colours, signage, graphics and on-screen interfaces to your new visual identity.

Before handover, we verify the operation of the upgraded equipment and connected systems. We check peripheral handling, user workflows, data connections and central monitoring.
During on-site commissioning, we demonstrate essential operator tasks, the administration interface and fault-reporting procedures. Alongside the renewed equipment fleet, your team receives the knowledge needed for everyday operation.

Long-term operations for refurbished infrastructure
We also operate systems renewed with our own software environment. Depending on your selected service level, support includes customer service, remote monitoring, software assistance and on-site fault resolution.

Large-scale fleet refurbishment in practice
BKK – comprehensive hardware refurbishment of 280 ticket machines
As part of the modernisation of BKK’s vending network, we comprehensively refurbished the hardware of 280 existing ticket and travel-pass vending machines. Renewing the fleet enabled much of the existing infrastructure to remain in service, supported by modern software and operations.
For this project, we developed proprietary TVM software, a cloud-based Back Office solution and a real-time monitoring system for BKK. The refurbished machines now operate within a centrally managed ticketing system.
This project demonstrates coordinated hardware refurbishment, software modernisation and long-term operations. We also apply the experience gained on this high-traffic outdoor vending network when modernising equipment from other manufacturers.
